Raggamuffin is held in Rotorua in January each year, Raggamuffin is a weekend reggae festival featuring arrange of top international and local artists.
Raggamuffin is Australasia’s premier reggae and roots festival and features an unrivalled line-up of top international and local artists. In an exciting move, the one-day event will now feature two stages – one reggae, and one urban.
Held annually in New Zealand since 2008, the festival has already seen huge acts such as UB40, Mary J Blige, Lauryn Hill and three of Bob Marley’s sons take the stages.
Headliners in 2014 included British reggae royalty UB40 ft Ali Campbell, Astro & Mickey Virtue, Jamaican reggae revolutionist Chronixx and iconic hip-hop legends Ice Cube and Cypress Hill.
After seven years in Rotorua, the event has also found a new home in Auckland to be closer to its strong fanbase.
Partnering with Y for YOUTH, a local charity who provide vital assistance to a range of New Zealand youth organisations, Raggamuffin Music Festival will once again raise funds to help support their work through the donation of a portion of all tickets sold.
The vibrant Raggamuffin village will once again be an un-missable feature of the music festival. Bringing you the best kai and market goods, the village area is a destination in itself. Bringing you the best in delicious foods, fashion and entertainment, head to the village area to chill out, grab a bite, sneak in a bit of shopping or check out some sweet sounds.
