The top 1,800 triathletes from around the world (50 countries and all 50 States) converge on Kona for this Super Bowl of triathlon events, featuring a 2.4-mile ocean swim off Kailua Pier, a 112-mile bike course to Hawi and a 26.2-mile run. This is the big one – a world-class sports event!

Vans Trips Crown


The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing is a Hawaiian specialty series of professional surfing events, offering three events to men and three events to women. All events, with the exception of the women’s Billabong Pro Maui, are staged on the North Shore of Oahu – a coastline world famous in surfing terms for its clockwork winter swells that reach 50 feet in height.

Billfish Tournament


In 1959, just two days after the Territory of Hawaii became the 50th state, the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament (HIBT) launched its first sportsfishing tournament in Kona on Hawaii, the Big Island. Fifty-five years later, this iconic fishing tournament continues to welcome teams from around the world each summer to fish Kona’s now famous waters.
