Less
than an hour by boat from the capital, Nuku'alofa on the timeless island
of Atata, is one of the South Pacific's most unique holiday destinations -
the Royal Sunset Island Resort.
Surrounded
by white coral sands and a shimmering lagoon, the resort borders a fishing
village where guests are welcome to experience the traditional culture and
way of life of the friendly villagers.
For
decades the people of Atata have been renowned for their fishing prowess.
Reef fish, shell fish and seafood keep their families in food, and enable
the village to sell at the markets in Nuku'alofa. These same people are
the staff at Royal Sunset, and their catch—fresh fish and seafood—is
the basis of our restaurant requirements.
There
are three hectares of tropical gardens and coconut palms providing privacy
for 26 two-room bungalows situated on the sparkling beachfront.
Each
bungalow has a separate bedroom, lounge room with two divan beds, a simple
kitchenette, refrigerator, coffee and tea making facilities, separate
bathroom with shower, and overhead fans.
A
timeless paradise...

which has three double cabins with separate accommodation for the skipper
