South Pacific Specials

25 days Micronesian Islandhopper, from 3469.- euro only

As the name says, Micronesia means many islands, so guess what? The only way to get around in this part of the Pacific is islandhopping. And that is exactly what this trip is all about.

You will first get to Guam, the most central located and most populated island in Micronesia. During the first two days you might see the many historic sights, do your shopping and join the nightlife and beach activities. But you can also explore the island to see jungle landscape, cliffs, beaches and lagunes. You may do an  excursion or rent a car (not included).

Then you visit Yap for three days, the island known for it stone money that is still in use. But it is also the place to see giant manta rays.

Your third island stop is on Palau, the divers Mecca. A must see here are the Rock Islands, an unbelievable shaped island labyrinth. But like on Yap and other Micronesian Islands, you also might like to explore some remote parts of the island to experience some intresting culture and traditions of the native inhabitants.

Fourth stop is on Truk for 3 days, another excellent dive spot. During the WW2 a big part of the Japanese Warfleet was sunk here in the lagoon after a surprise attack of the American Navy. The wrecks offer an unbelievable decor for the rich sealife.

Fifth hold is on remote and lush vegetated Pohnpei, where you stay also three days. If there was a real Atlantis, it was probably the ancient ruin city of Nan Madol that was meant. You still can see walls, canals and petroglyphs.

Travelling these places needs carefull planning, flexibility of the Traveller and a not to tight budget and timeschedule. After heavy rains, roads can wash, electricity can fail and planes can get delayed. We have experience with these local circumstances and have planed this trip accordingly. Are you ready for it ?
