| Day 1 |
AMSTERDAM - TAHITI.
Flight from Amsterdam to Tahiti. Our
agent will greet you on the airport early the following day. |
| Day 2-3 |
TAHITI.
Transfer to your hotel is arranged. You stay 2
nights on the perhaps most famous island of the Pacific.

| Day 4 |
TAHITI -
RAIATEA.
You'll be transferred to the airport and off you are to the remote island
of Raiatea.
All the hectic that you've ever known will disappear when stepping out of
the plane on Raiatea Island. Transfer to your hotel. |
| Day 5&6 |
RAIATEA. This
island has the most unbelievable colors! The blue of the Pacific, the green of
the lush rainforest and the white of the sand contrast with the red of the soil.
We suggest that you take an island excursion (not included) to experience
all this. |
| Day 7 |
RAIATEA - BORA BORA.
A short flight will bring you to the most famous of all the the islands of
French Polynesia: Bora Bora.
The dramatic landscape, that has inspired so many movie-makers can already
be seen when landing on the little island which hosts the airport. A boat
transfers the passengers right after baggage claim to the village of
Vaitape. A few hotels also offer their private boat transfer. |
| Day 8-10 |
BORA BORA. There
is always something to do on Bora Bora and it's surrounding motus. Visit
the village of Vaitape, take a boat trip to a remote motu (paradise
islands on the edge of the lagune), rent a bike, go snorkeling,
swimming, diving, slurp a cocktail in a hammock, enjoy a gourmet meal
under the stars... |
| Day 11 |
BORA BORA - MOOREA.
The boat takes you back to the airport and with
Air Tahiti you fly back to Moorea (on some days via the main island
Tahiti). |
| Day 12-14 |
MOOREA.
Explore beautiful Moorea at your own speed. This island with its prominent peaks
has so
much to offer. Several excursions (not included) can be
booked at your hotel. There is excellent snorkeling, the interesting
Tiki Village - and of course a sandy beach to watch the sunsets. The
island can also easily be discovered by mountain bike or by public bus
("le truck"). |
| Day 15&16 |
MOOREA - TAHITI - AMSTERDAM.
It is time to say good bye. There are two ways of
getting back to the main island Tahiti. You can take the ferry back during
the day, leaving you luggage at a hotel (to be arranged at your 2nd day
when you stay on Tahiti) or at the Ferry terminal, located central in
Papeete Town. It leaves some time to go shopping and have a nice last
diner under the stars in Papeete. Transfers on Moorea to the ferry are
arranged, but you have to take a taxi in the evening on your own expense
to get back from Papeete Town to the airport.
Alternatively you may take the last interisland
flight back to Tahiti (around 6PM) and wait till midnight at the airport
for your connecting flight with Air New Zealand to fly back to Amsterdam via the States
(Los Angeles). Transfers on Moorea to the airport are arranged.

EASTER ISLAND (EXTENSION).
You may extend the Kontiki Voyage with another 4 days
to the legendary
Easter Island. Included in this package is the
roundtrip flight from Papeete to Easter Island (IPC), 3 hotelnights and 3
excursions covering all major highlights of this fascinating destination.
You will see the a wide range of Moai (statues), the quarry, the
Rano Raraku volcano and the Petroglyphs (engraved
symbols). |
