Enjoy an interesting and fun filled three weeks of exploring Kiwi-Country. But just to get into the right mood, first relax on a dream island. The perfect combination if you ask me !!.. 

The choice of the Pacific destination is yours: either Fiji, Cook Islands, Samoa, French Polynesia of Tonga.

 Included:
  • Roundtrip flight to New Zealand (arr. Auckland and dep. Christchurch or v.v.) and a stopover on the southbound flight in Fiji, Cook Islands, Samoa or French Polynesia. (flights by Air New Zealand and partner airlines - stopover on a dream island on the northbound flight is possible at a surcharge)
  • Economy car (ECMN) for 21 rental days of Budget Rent a Car, incl. free mileage and an  insurance with an own risk of 1200 NZ$. One way rentals between Auckland and Christchurch or vice versa possible. 

Also included, depending on the choice of South Pacific Island destination:
  • Fiji: 1 hotel night on Viti Levu (Nadi) at arrival or departue (depending on the flight & boat schedule), 4 nights at an Island Resort in the Mamanucca Island Group plus all transfers (by boat and minibus).
  • Cook Islands: 4 hotel nights on Rarotonga plus all transfers (minibus).
  • Samoa 5 hotel nights on Upolu (Apia) plus all transfers
  • French Polynesia: 1 hotel nights on Tahiti (Papeete), 4 nights on Moorea plus all transfers and ferrycrossings

Please note: The number of nights on the South Pacific Islands depends highly on the available flight connections from Air New Zealand. Your personal itinerary can therefor vary from the example below, as airlines tend to change their schedule frequently.
Day 1&2. AMSTERDAM - SOUTH PACIFIC. You fly from Amsterdam via the USA to your  South Pacific destination. At arrival you will be met by our local agent, who will take care of the transfer to your hotel. Your total stay on the islands will be 4-6 nights.
Day 3-8 ISLANDS IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC. Depending on the choice of island destination, you will have 4 to 6 days to explore the South Pacific islands of your choice. There are many possibilities getting around on the islands, walking, biking, by public transport or by excursion. The hotel and our local agent will assist you in making your choice. On the last day you will be transfered back to the international airport for your flight to New Zealand, to either Auckland or Christchurch. 
Day 9-28 ARRIVAL IN NEW ZEALAND. After arrival in New Zealand you pick up your rental car and off you go discovering this natural paradise on your own in the next three weeks. And there is a lot to see and enjoy on those two islands! You may drive a one-way route, picking up your car in Auckland and dropping off it in Christchurch. We recommend that you spend approximately 1 week on the North Island and two weeks on the South Island.

The Interislander Ferry travels a few times per day between the two islands. For your convenience there is a carrental depot at either terminal of the ferry (Wellington and Picton). So you simply drop the car on one side, check in for your boat trip and receive the same category car at the other side. This saves you the ferry charges for taking the car on board. On spot you just pay the ferry tickets for the passengers. 

Ofcourse you are free to choose the date of your ferry crossing. However, you have to give the rental company at least 72 hours notice which day you want to do the ferry crossing, to enable them to have your car ready. 
Day 29-30 NEW ZEALAND - AMSTERDAM. Today you deliver your car at the Airport in Auckland or Christchurch (depending if you drove North-to-South or South-to-North) and get on your flight back home on day 30 or 29(French Polynesia).
