Chile (Patagonia)
Patagonia (Magallanes  Region)

From Campo de Hielo Sur up to the Chilean Antarctic Territory, this area is one of the most spectacular of the planet. It comprises the administrative region of the twelfth region of Magallanes and the Chilean Antarctic.

The cities of Punta Arenas (head of the region), and Puerto Natales, offer all the necessary facilities to explore this extraordinary region.

Indubitably, among all the attractions, Torres del Paine National Park, is one of the best, due to its beauty and fame. There are few places that within their limits include so much amount and variety of attractions, and this park exceeds all expectations.

In Torres del Paine there are a lot of lagoons, lakes and snowcaps, apart from a great variety of species representative of our land. Standing out from the mountain massif giving its name to the reservation, Las Torres y Cuernos (towers and horns), which are a great challenge for climbers from all over the world.

Following the road to the north of Puerto Natales, the landscape is overwhelming. It not only can lead us to Torres del Paine, but also, through a short detour, to the Cueva del Milodon, declared Natural Monument, because remains of this extinct prehistoric animal were found in that place.

In Punta Arenas, on the hill that stands out above the city and the Magellan’s strait, we can find the most southern ski center: Cerro Mirador.

Crossing Magellan’s strait, Tierra del Fuego is an island where the cold weather, the wind and the rain have scarred this land and the men that dwell it. Porvenir city, almost in front of Punta Arenas City, is the biggest and most important city in the island.

Crossing Beagle Channel, you can get to the remote Puerto Williams, on Navarino Island, a good base to explore a unique surrounding, and visit the neighbor Argentinean city of Ushuaia.

The Cabo de Hornos National Park, the most southern and barren park, is composed by a group of ten islands, only spotted by airplane. Facing Cabo de Hornos and crossing hundreds of kilometers of troubled waters, the Chilean Antarctic Territory is the last frontier of the national territory.
