Guests are hosted by a Samoan chieftain's family, who provide a fascinating insight into Samoan traditions and culture. Cultural, archaeological and ecological lectures and tours are a specialty of the hotel.

Accommodation is provided in 12 recently remodelled, thatched "fale" units in a tropical garden setting. Double and single units each have attached bathrooms, screens and fans. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar.
