This tropical lowland rainforest is one of the earth's most complex of habitats, housing an immense variety of flora and fauna along with a unique culture. Exploring villages in small river boats along the jungle-fringed waterways is as rewarding as it is exhilarating. 

Down in the Sepik region, this time-warped mixture of the primitive and modern is the perfect base for some old-fashioned jungle, river and village exploration. Locals pole dug-out canoes, the drums throb, the wild birds call and traditional village lifestyles continue unchanged.

Your cottage, nestled in the spacious gardens near a modest swimming pool, is constructed from locally gathered bush mat and has a ceiling fan, and a breezy veranda.
