Evenings
commence with hors-d'oeuvres on the patio and bar at 6pm. After the sunset,
enjoy a barbeque out by the sea-wall, and for the energetic, perhaps some
dancing after dinner.
Water
sports abound - there are facilities to swim, windsurf, kayak, surfski,
snorkel or scuba dive. Recreational facilities include volleyball, deck
tennis, table tennis, dart board, and a selection of cards and games. A
small but interesting library of videotapes of Papua New Guinea is
available for screening. Bushwalking or strolling along the beaches is a
relaxing pastime and it's possible to make it around the whole island in
about an hour. The fishing is great, too!
Snorkel
trips to nearby Lion Island, which is famous for its range of hard and
soft corals and fish diversity, depart as and when guests require.
Scuba
trips to Horseshoe Reef Marine Park and its wrecks, and trips further
along the coastal lagoon operate daily aboard 'Solatai'.
Sedentary
types will undoubtedly prefer to merely observe the aquatic activities
with one of the resort's well-known "Bootless Bay Thirst Quenchers"
in an easy chair under a coconut tree.
As
well as catering to holiday makers and diving and water enthusiasts, the
resort offers facilities for conference groups. |
