Papua New Guinea
North Shore
See for yourself the unrivalled beauty and variety of scenery along Papua New Guinea's coastline. From tropical beaches fringed with palms to spectacular coral reefs and active volcanoes offshore, the magic tranquillity of the coast is only matched by the people themselves. You will be met by smiling faces and a cheery 'api noon' when visiting places like Madang.

There are many things to see and do. Whilst most will think of the activities that take place on the water, such as the great underwater delights of our reefs and abundant fish life, there is an exciting world topside too. See and experience a culture which will continue to live on for generations to come, taste the luscious tropical fruits and vegetables.

Many of the coastal areas bore the brunt of the land, air and sea battles of World War II. Fulfil the childhood dream of touching a WWII fighter plane located in the middle of a jungle and not a museum. Walk through natural jungles. The coastal area has something for everyone.

Madang
Madang is world famous for its coral reefs and superb visibility making diving good all year round. There is a variety of easily accessible places to dive, an abundance of reef and pelagic fish, dramatic drop offs, shells and soft and hard corals. Those who like wreck diving will find a number of WWII ships along with a B25 bomber. Hansa Bay, four hours up the coast, is the resting place for at least 34 Japanese ships which lie in shallow water, many have never been dived.
