AIRPORT FACILITIES: Money and communications: ATMs are located throughout the terminal building and fax and photocopying, a parcel delivery service and stamp and change machines are available at the bank. Postboxes are located on the third level of the terminal after the security checkpoint. Eating and drinking: The airport has a variety of fast food outlets, as well as restaurants and cocktail lounges. Shopping: There are gift shops and gift carts located throughout the airport. Other facilities: There are shoeshine stands and a barbershop.

DISABLED FACILITIES: Disabled car parking spaces are located near the lifts on all four levels of the car park next to the terminal and disabled travellers are charged the long-term daily rates if they display their disabled badge when leaving the car park. Braille signage, wheelchair-accessible toilets, drinking fountains and telecommunications devices for the deaf (TDDs) are all provided.

CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES: A large meeting room or a choice of two smaller meeting rooms can be booked at AmeriSuites (tel: 505 242 9300; e-mail: locak@primehospitality.com) which is 2km (1mile) from the airport. All meeting rooms at the hotel have Internet facilities and catering can also be booked.

CAR HIRE: Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Thrifty and Budget Rent-a-Car of New Mexico are all represented. The on-airport car hire operations, which include customer service counters and car return areas, are located at the Car Rental Center, approximately 0.8km (0.5 miles) west of the passenger terminal building. Car hire shuttle vans, which run every 5 minutes, transport car hire customers between the remotely-located facility and the terminal building. Shuttle van pick-up is located at the baggage reclaim level commercial lane kerb.

CAR PARKING: A four-storey car park located next to the terminal, with covered access to the building, provides space for 3400 cars 24 hours a day. There is also a short-term covered car park and a long-term surface car park at the airport. Car parks are patrolled by the aviation police. DRIVING DIRECTIONS: By car, take I-25 south to the Sunport Boulevard exit (exit 221) and go east on Sunport Boulevard to the front of the terminal. Alternatively, drive south on I-25 to the Gibson Boulevard exit (exit 222A), go east on Gibson Boulevard and drive south on Yale Boulevard. Signposts direct motorists to the arrivals and departures levels, as well as to short-term and long-term airport car parks.
