TRANSFER BETWEEN TERMINALS: A free, wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus serves all the terminals around the central loop every 5-10 minutes. INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS: Travelers Aid booths are located on the lower/Arrivals level of each terminal near baggage reclaim and provide assistance for disabled passengers. The airport has a 24-hour recorded information line (tel: 310 646 5252 or TDD: 310 417 0439). QuickAID computer terminals provide free transportation information. AIRPORT FACILITIES: Money and communications: ATMs are located in each terminal on Arrivals and Departures levels. Bureau de change facilities are located in the Departures halls of all terminals, as well as in the Arrivals halls of the TBI (Tom Bradley International) Terminal and Terminals 2, 5 and 7. There is a post office at the TBI Terminal. Stamp machines and postboxes are located in all terminals. Eating and drinking: There are numerous fast food outlets, bars, coffee shops, restaurants and ice cream parlours across the airport. Shopping: A variety of shopping and eating facilities are available; shops include duty-free shopping in Terminals 2-7 and in the Tom Bradley International Terminal, as well as shoe shops, newsagents, sunglasses shops and bookshops. Duty-free shopping is available in Terminals 2-7 and in the TBI Terminal. Other facilities: First aid facilities are available in the TBI Terminal. |

DISABLED FACILITIES: Facilities include ramps and lifts, adapted toilets, accessible restaurants and TDD telephones in Terminals 1-7. All airport car parks have plenty of disabled spaces and lift-equipped shuttle buses run between Lots B and C and the terminals. Extra-wide car parking spaces for disabled drivers are conveniently-located next to lifts. Free parking is available for disabled drivers in metered areas; this is however only available to drivers who can display a disabled permit. Wheelchairs can be requested from individual airlines; disabled passengers are advised to inform their airline of their requirements in advance. Many fast food outlets and coffee shops are wheelchair-accessible. CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES: Fax, photocopying and Internet access facilities are available in all departures areas; notary services are available in Terminal 5 and in the TBI Terminal. CAR HIRE: All major car hire companies, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz and National, are represented. CAR PARKING: There are six central car parks with good access to all the terminals, offering short- and long-term parking. The two perimeter car parks have cheaper daily rates and the first two hours of parking are free; the LAX shuttle runs between these car parks and the terminals. Metered parking is available on the lower level opposited Terminals 1, 2A, 2B, 3, 4 and 7. DRIVING DIRECTIONS: The airport is located just off the Pacific Coast Highway (Hwy-1) and Hwy-42, near the intersection of Fwys-405 and -105. (Hwy-1 is also called Lincoln Boulevard just north of the airport and is called Sepulveda Boulevard just south of the airport). From Los Angeles, take Fwy-405 south, turn off onto either Hwy-42 or Fwy-105 west, and follow signs to the airport. Traffic is heavy at peak times and the airport recommends using public transport. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Rail: Train: There is a free shuttle service from the airport every 12-15 minutes, 0430-2300, which runs to the Aviation station on the green line of the metro light rail network. Road: Taxi: Taxis and shuttles stop outside the terminals on the lower/arrivals level. Authorised taxis serve the airport and display fixed fare tariffs to local destinations. Door-to-door shuttle vans are also available. Bus: Various airport bus and shuttle van services run to destinations all over southern California, including the Airport Bus (tel: 800 772 5299 toll free) to central Los Angeles and Pasadena public bus services are run by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (tel: 800 266 6883 toll free); buses run from car park Lot C, which is connected to the terminals by Shuttle C. They are also run by Culver City Bus Line (tel: 310 253 6500), Santa Monica Big Blue Bus (tel: 310 451 5444) and Torrance Transit (tel: 310 320 9442).
