Originally built as a working ranch in the 1880s and later the home to the famous 20-mule teams, the Furnace Creek Ranch today offers a complete resort complex in the middle of Death Valley National Park. 

The 224 guest units are complemented by three restaurants, a saloon, a general store, the Borax Museum, and a 3,040-foot airstrip.

Boundless recreational opportunities include a spring-fed swimming pool, the world's lowest golf course, tennis, horseback riding, hiking, touring,and horse-drawn carriage rides. The Ranch is 120 miles from Las Vegas. Open year round. Some services listed vary seasonally.

The standard room come with 2 double beds, telephone, television, and air-conditioning. Smoking and Non-Smoking rooms available. Rooms are on first and second floor. No elevator. Only one rollaway per room.

Driving Directions
  • From Las Vegas: Take Interstate 15 to Hwy 160. Go west toward Pahrump (60 miles). In Pahrump, go 4 miles past Smith's Food & Drugs to Bell Vista Rd. Go left th Death Valley Junction (30 miles). Turn right and then left onto Hwy 190. Go 30 miles to Furnace Creek Ranch. Driving time: 2 hours 
  • From Los Angeles: Take Interstate 15 to Baker, CA. Take 127 north through Shoshone (81miles) to Death Valley Junction. Take Hwy 190 west to Furnace Creek Ranch (30 miles). 
  • From Northern CA: Take Hwy 99 to Bakersfield. Take Hwy 58 to Mojave. Take Hwy 14 to Olancha and follow signs to Death Valley National Park. Take Hwy 190 past Stovepipe Wells Village to Furnace Creek Ranch.
