TRANSFER BETWEEN TERMINALS: A free, wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus service departs every seven minutes between the terminals and the car parks.

INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS: Information desks are located in all terminals, including one in baggage reclaim.

AIRPORT FACILITIES: Money and communications: Facilities include a full service bank in Terminal 4, ATMs and a bureau de change, located in the arrivals area in Terminal 4. Eating and drinking: There are restaurants and cafés in Terminal 4. Shopping: There are many shops, including duty free in Terminal 4.

DISABLED FACILITIES: Facilities for disabled passengers include level access and lifts, wheelchair-accessible telephones, toilets and ATMs, as well as TDD and amplified phones for hearing-impaired travellers. Adapted rental cars for disabled drivers can be provided with advance notice by Avis (tel: 602 273 3222) and Hertz (tel: 602 267 8822). Disabled parking spaces are reserved for badge holders. Additional parking is available at the east and west economy car parks, which are both served by a free and frequent wheelchair-accessible shuttle. For transport to/from the city centre, there is a Dial-a-Ride bus service for senior citizens and people with disabilities, 0700-1900 (tel: 602 253 4000 or TDD: 602 231 0961).

CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES: The airport has business centres in Terminals 2 and 3; these provide computer points, and fax and photocopying services. There are no meeting rooms or secretarial services at the airport.

CAR HIRE: All major hire companies are represented, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz and National.

CAR PARKING: Short-term parking (tel: 602 273 4545) is available at Terminals 2, 3 and 4. Additional parking is available at the east and west economy car parks. Terminal 2 also has a rooftop parking garage. A number of private companies offer parking off site with shuttle services to Sky Harbor.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: The airport has separate exits for east and west destinations, so travellers are advised to plan their route before departing. Major routes with airport exits are I-10 east, State Route 153 south of Washington, State Route 202 west and State Route 143 north. From North Phoenix, take Route 51 south, then take I-10 east to the airport exit, or drive south on 24th Street to the airport entrance which is just north of Buckeye Road. From northern Arizona, take I-17, south then I-10 east to the airport exit.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Road: Taxi: There are plenty of taxis which serve the airport. Three authorised taxi companies, AAA, Courier and Yellow Cab, have agreed rates with the airport. SuperShuttle operates 24 hours a day Monday-Sunday, offering an airport door-to-door van service, departing approximately every 15 minutes to all destinations. Limousine: Limousine services are readily available. Bus: Phoenix Transit (tel: 602 253 5000 or TDD: 602 261 8208) run Red Line and no. 13 wheelchair-accessible buses to central Phoenix and surrounding areas.

AIRPORT HOTELS: Many hotels offer free shuttle transportation from the airport. Nearby hotels include the Phoenix Airport Hilton, Holiday Inn and Marriott.
