Holidays & Festivals

The following holidays are observed by the Government and some businesses. Note that several dates are subject to change each year and may not be current. Check with a current calendar. In addition the normal Christian holidays (Easter, Christmas, etc) the folowing holidays are widely observed in the Micronesia. 

• January 1 - New Year's Day
• January 9 - Commonwealth Day
• February 21 - Ash Wednesday April - Ascension Day 
• July 4 - Independence Day 
• 1st Monday in September - Labor Day 
• 2nd Monday in October - Columbus Day
• November 1 - All Saints Day 
• November 4 - Citizenship Day
• November 11 - Veterans Day
• November 28 (Last Thursday in November - Thanksgiving
• December 9 - Constitution Day 

*Holidays falling on Sunday are usually observed on the following Monday.
