Newly painted, carpeted, furnished and equipped with a new air conditioner in 1997, our Maui home is a two-bedroom apartment in Building Three of the Maui Vista in Kihei (pronounced key-hey). Our ocean view is about the nicest in the complex. In the winter months you will see humpback whales spouting as you watch the sunset from the lanai. The Maui Vista is a well-maintained complex of three buildings just across the street from Kamaole One beach (also known as Charlie Young Beach), one of the safest and nicest on Maui. Each building has its own swimming pool, tennis court and barbecue facility.

Accommodation

Your spacious Maui Vista condominium suite beckons you to relax and live the easly island lifestyle. With custom furnishings designed with a tropical touch. And daily maid service, of course. Choose from air-conditioned studios, one, and two bedroom suites with private lanais. Complete kitchens add a special dimension to your island vacation.

The apartment has a full bathroom and one bedroom downstairs. Upstairs is a loft bedroom with its own toilet, sink and shower. Both bedrooms have queen size beds with Simmons Backcare mattresses, and there is a a single folding cot mattress suitable for a child. The living room sofa converts into a double bed. Inside square footage is 822, with an additional 71 on the lanai. 

There is ample closet space in both bedrooms and the hall. Appliances include stove, fridge, dishwasher, washer-dryer, iron and ironing board, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, rice cooker, garberator, vacuum, and cordless phone with answering machine. As well as the air conditioner, the apartment has three 54" ceiling fans, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. 

We are non-smokers and ask that guests smoke only on the lanai. The apartment is furnished with matching rattan pieces. We have decorated with artwork that includes a large tapa cloth hanging from New Guinea, an Egyptian tapestry from pre-war Egypt, artwork by Saltspring Island artist, Diana Thompson (who happens to be our daughter) and framed charts of the "Sandwich Isles."

Entertainment (if you get tired of the beach, the pool, and the whales) is available from cable TV, VCR and JVC stereo (radio, CD, tape), as well as at the many restaurants, bars and the brew house all close by. 

A 24 hour supermarket is within walking distance, as is a healthfood store, a car rental agency and stores where snorkel gear may be rented.

Activities

Plus oceans of activities, where this sunny corner of Kihei gives you long stretches of beach to explore. And for golfers, 5 championship golf courses are nearby.
