Lodge

At the Molokai Ranch Lodge, you'll feel as if you've stepped back in time to an era where the lilting sounds of the ukulele and graceful sway of hula dancers beckoned visitors. Capturing the warmth and ambiance of Hawaii's cherished 1920's and '30s, the Lodge is an inviting home away from home.

Set upon eight acres at the entrance to quaint Maunaloa Town, the two-story Lodge overlooks wide open pastures and the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Offering the perfect island getaway, the Lodge ensconces guests in casual elegance and rustic charm, capturing the essence of Hawaii's early paniolo and plantation era.

Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, the Lodge features a cozy Living Room with fireplace, fine dining room, a library, bar & lounge, and wrap-around verandas with spectacular panoramic views. Each of the Lodge's 22 spacious guest rooms offer unsurpassed views of the ocean and are individually appointed with elegant furnishings and cheerful upcountry decor.

Other amenities include a heated swimming pool, fitness center, sauna, and business meeting rooms. Numerous walking paths are located throughout the landscaped grounds as are an herb garden and greenhouse, ideal for private parties and weddings. In addition, Lodge guests have access to all of the activities offered at Molokai Ranch, including horseback riding, mountain biking, ocean kayaking, cultural walks and many more.

The Camps

Roughing it takes on a whole new meaning at Molokai Ranch. Our Na Kauhale accommodations are anything but rough, offering comfortable lodging at its best. You have your choice of three distinct lodging sites, each with its own memorable setting and exciting activity offerings.

The hillside Paniola Village features 40 one- and two-unit na hale (lodging units) with bird's-eye ocean views and a paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) flavor. Set on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Kolo Cliffs feature 20 na hale units along with such activities as a ropes challenge course and ocean sports. Nestled on a double-crescent white sand beach, Kaupoa Beach offers two-unit na hale accommodations and a variety of beach activities.

The Na Kauhale accommodations at Molokai Ranch provide many comforts of home. You'll enjoy a comfortable queen-size or double beds, solar-powered lights and ceiling fan, spacious lanai with deck furniture, private bathroom with hot water shower and self-composting toilet, and daily maid service. Each Na Kauhale features an open-air pavilion to gather and enjoy hearty "ranch-style" meals.

  • Paniolo Village

Located in the pastureland, near Maunaloa Village, the Paniolo na hale offer sweeping views of grasslands, the ocean and offshore islands. The 40 single and double na hale are designed both for couples and families.

A day at Paniolo features cowboy activities, crafts and self-guided mountain biking, nature walks and swims in the trough. Guided cultural hikes and mountain biking leave from Paniolo. Regular shuttles run from Paniolo to the rodeo area and Maunaloa Village.

  • Kolo Cliffs

Kolo Cliffs has a rugged terrain overlooking the ocean with wonderful views of the island of Lanai. Kolo features 20 na hale, able to accommodate up to three adults. Due to the size of the na hale and the terrain Kolo is recommended for adults only.

Daytime activities are especially geared for hardbodies and weekend warriors. The ropes challenge course allows you to test yourself at 12 different levels. A short hike down to the beach offers self-guided kayaks and hiking and other ocean sports. Winter month views often include whales breaching in the channel.

  • Kaupoa Beach

Located on a beautiful double-crescent white sand beach, Kaupoa Beach features 40 double unit hale which are perfect for couples and families seeking beach activities

Na kauhale activities include beach fun and relaxation. Self-guided mountain biking, nature walks, snorkeling, kayaking and tidal pools. Lawn games offered include volleyball, croquet and horseshoes. Winter months occasionally offer spectacular views of large waves crashing upon the shore.

Outdoor Adventure Package  - Non-Ranch Guests
Includes mountain biking to Kolo Beach, Ocean Kayaking along the South Shore and the ropes challenge course. Bring your own towels, sunscreen, shoes and swimsuit. Transportation provided. Recommended for physically fit adults.

Family Adventures & Children's Program
Kolo Family Day offers an array of family adventures include beach relays, nature tours, arts & crafts and more. Our children's program called Kamali'i Edventures are designed for kids ages 5-12 and include bug hunts, the stables, tidepools, and nature walks.

Participating in Activities
Guests may participate in self-guided activities at their own Na Kauhale at any time. Reservations to visit another kauhale may be made during dinner for the next day. Guided group activities such as Mountain Biking may also be arranged during dinner. Horseback adventures and whale watching are offered on a space available basis.

Bottled water is available for purchase on all activities. All activities require closed toe shoes except ocean activities. Please arrive early, prior to shuttle departure time.
