The
5.3 acre grounds are beautifully landscaped and spaciously set with
courtyards, terraces, palm trees and a dazzling array of island flowers
and foliage.
Inside
the hotel there are wide open spaces, for the first three floors open into
a courtyard filled with exotic plants, coconut trees, plumeria and tree
ferns. This also allows the trade winds to circulate and cool the lobby.
Daytime
activities include two freshwater swimming pools, a championship tennis
court, shiatsu massage, sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, shopping arcade and
complimentary Hawai'ian activities such as how to make a lei, dance the
hula or create a Hawai'ian quilt. Nearby you can go golfing, jogging,
snorkelling, windsurfing, surfing and sailing.
The
service at the Hawai'ian Regent at Waikiki Beach is personal, warm and
friendly. Dining is relaxed and informal at The Summery which features
morning breakfast buffets and menu items, lunch and dinner service plus an
evening snack menu. International buffets are featured on select evenings
and there is a spectacular Sunday brunch.
A
European-styled cafe is set in the hotel's main lobby area which is the
perfect spot for light breakfasts. The Lobby Bar offers casual group
seating under a wood and bamboo pavilion with Island entertainment staged
nightly. The 'Acqua' offers elegant Pacific Rim dining, 'Nangoku' has
tasty Chinese meals and the Regent Hatsuhana restaurant offers fine
Japanese cuisine.
The
Ocean Terrace enjoys breathtaking views of Waikiki Beach just steps away
from the Kalakaua Pool and there is room service available from 6am to
10.30pm.
