Golfcourses on the Big Island

The Big Island of Hawaii is larger than all the other islands combined but luckily several spectacular golf resorts-each with two 18 hole championship courses, are in close proximity just North of Kona Airport along the Kohala Coast.

Mauna Lani Resort Courses North Course -18 Holes, Par 72, 6,993 Yards, Rated 73.2, Slope Rated 136
South Course -18 Holes, Par 72, 7,029 Yards, Rated 73.1, Slope Rated 133
The two courses at the Mauna Lani Resort are both true Hawaiian style courses. They will test you with the challenges of the course and lull you with the beauty that surrounds you on every hole. The South Course is home to the annual "Senior Skins Game" that features the likes of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. The North Course is home to many of Hawaii's most spectacular ocean view golf holes. Each of the courses are a delight to play, they are unique in the style of the design and the variety of shots required to play well.
Waikoloa Resort Courses Beach Course -18 Holes Par 72,6,566 Yards, Rated 71.5, Slope Rated 133
Kings' Course - 18 Holes, Par 72, 7,074 Yards, Rated 73.9, Slope Rated 133

Your challenge will be to test your skills on either of the resort's two championship golf courses. Both the Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and the King's Course, a Tom Weiskopf & Jay Morrish design, offer golf for all skill levels. Set among the lava fields and adjacent to the ocean, the Waikoloa Courses are among the very best in Hawaii. The courses wind their way around the resort and many holes offer views of the Pacific Ocean and the slopes of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa in the distance.

Mauna Kea Golf Course And Hapuna Golf Course Mauna Kea Golf Course -18 Holes, Par 72, 7,114 Yards, Rated 73.6, Slope Rated 135

In addition you will enjoy the special opportunity to play the nearby Hapuna Golf Course designed by golfing great Arnold Palmer. The links-style course is an environmentally sensitive layout that is a unique test of golf. Either of these courses offer a golfing experience that is unforgettable.

Hapuna Beach Golf Course -18 Holes, Par 72, 6,456 Yards, Rated 72.4, Slope Rated 130

The Hapuna Beach Golf Course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, is a links-style layout which rises from the shoreline to approximately 700 feet above sea level.  Greens nestle into dramatic natural contours, incorporating native plants, trees and grasses.

Waikoloa Village Golf Club 18 Holes, Par 72, 6,791 Yards, Rated 71.8, Slope Rated 130
This legendary masterpiece designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. is set on the slopes of Mauna Kea overlooking the blue Pacific Ocean. Opening in 1972 as the centerpiece of the Waikoloa Village Resort, the course is a true resort style course that offers wide landing areas off the tee but requires a top level game to score well. The greens are Bermuda grass and are always tough to read with the subtle breaks away from the mountain. The clubhouse is home to an excellent restaurant and full service pro shop. The practice facilities and learning center are all here for your game improvement needs.
