| Waimea Valley is a historic nature park on Oahu's North
Shore with thousands of species of plants, flowers and trees, most of them
indigenous to Hawaii. The park is made up of 36 gardens spread out over
1,800 acres; plan to spend at least half a day exploring. In addition to
the lush vegetation, various species of native Hawaiian birds and small
animals roam the well-kept grounds. Park admission enables you to see
cliff-diving, traditional Hawaiian hula and other treats. Open from 10 a.m.
