French Polynesia

On the Society Islands you may explore the islands by rental car. usually its easy to find your way, as there is only one road around each island. Most sights, eg temples, churches, villages or museums you will find along the road. On Tahiti distances are still fairly big. Near Papeete there can be even bussy traffic. 

To really see Tahiti you need a car or do a sightseeing tour. Public transport around the island by Le Truck is regular but slow.

The outerisland you do not necesary need a rental car, you may also explore the islands by mountainbike, scooter or public transport (Le Truck).

For a legal wedding the legal requires in French Polynesia that you remain at least 30 days in French Polynesia before the marriage. In practice this means you may only have a ceremonial wedding in French Polynesia (see also Tiki Village).
