The master chef is European, cooks are Fijian and the resort regularly brings in visiting international chefs to enchant guests with inspiring culinary creations. Fresh seafood is served daily along with fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables and a choice of meat or poultry dishes. To get a better feel for the type of dining you will experience at Yasawa, view the sample Dinner Menu and Sunday Brunch Menu One of the best wine lists in the South Pacific includes fine wines from Australia and New Zealand and Champagnes from France.

Activities

When you are on vacation or are celebrating your honeymoon you get to choose what you do, and when you do it! If you prefer an active vacation, you will have a hard time fitting all the activities at Yasawa into the short time you are there. The beach that fronts the resort is perfect for a morning jog or walk. There are numerous hikes around the island, up the mountains and through the rainforests. Watersports are most popular at Yasawa! Scuba diving and snorkeling in the clear blue waters around the island are like nowhere else in Fiji. Kayaks, paddleboats, windsurfers and a catamaran are all available for your use.

For those who would rather relax and enjoy the privacy Yasawa has to offer there are private beaches everywhere around the island, great for swimming, sunbathing, a romantic picnic or an afternoon nap. The library is a comfortable place to relax in the cool shade of the main bure, while enjoying a tropical cocktail. The swimming pool at Yasawa Island Resort is irresistable and is a great way to cool off in the middle of a hot afternoon.

Weddings & Honeymoons

The wedding service, with the help of resort management, is tailored to your specifications. After your arrival on the island and once you have had a chance to settle in and become more familiar with the resort, a member of staff will plan your wedding with you.

THE WEDDING DATE AND YOUR STAY WITH US
Although there is no minimum stay, it is recommended that the wedding couple plan to spend at least five nights at the resort and plan to have their wedding at least two days after their arrival. This allows the couple to feel rested and relaxed before the wedding, as well as comfortable with the resort and staff. Upon booking, they will endeavour to provide the wedding date of your choice, but this can not always be guaranteed. Please be aware that they are not able to perform weddings on Sundays.

REGISTRATION
While in Nadi and prior to your arrival at the resort, a member of Yasawa's Nadi office staff, will escort you to the Registry where you will obtain your wedding license. A current passport, birth certificate, and proof of annulment or divorce (if married previously) is required.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
When planning the wedding with management, special requests will be catered to to the best of our ability. Fijian salusalus (flowered leis) and informal wedding cake are included in the wedding fee. Special requests for Fijian wedding costumes, professional flower arrangements (bouquets), traditional wedding cakes and professional photographers are all at an additional cost.

THE SERVICE
A Methodist minister from the island, is the celebrant for your wedding. A choice of locations such as the beach, main bure, poolside or deck of Lomalagi (providing it is available) and options for a Fijian choir, warriors, and decorations make your wedding in paradise easy and memorable. You may choose to invite the other guests staying at the resort to make it a more festive occasion or you may choose to have a very private ceremony on the beach at sunset.
