Nestled on 200 acres of a private tropical island
in the pristine waters of Fiji, The Wakaya Club has everything the worlds
weary traveller is looking for. The Club accommodates a maximum of
eighteen guests in nine spacious and elegantly designed bures on the edges
of one of the Pacific's most beautiful lagoons.
Whether you are looking for nine holes of
challenging golf amongst the palms of a nineteenth century copra
plantation, a couple of scuba dives each day, or a relaxing afternoon in a
hammock. The Wakaya Club has it all and provides all the best sporting
equipment including a Fitness Centre with all modern equipment in an
air-conditioned building.
Guests can play tennis day or night, snorkel at a
choice of many beaches, play bowls, learn the rules of croquet or even
hike to historic " Chieftain's leap"
The all inclusive concept offers luxury, cottage
suite accommodation, fine cuisine, the beat of wines and all recreational
activities, except deep sea , sport fishing charters and massages which
are extra.

Natural materials were
utilized to create the eight 1,500 sq. ft. simple but serenely elegant
guest accommodations, which are discreetly nestled along the beach. Each
private cottage, or bure as they are called in Fiji, consists of a living
room with fully-stocked wet bar and CD player, a bedroom with king-size
four-poster bed, and a bathroom replete with oversized soaking tub,
separate glass- enclosed shower, three sinks, and bidet. The amenities in
the bathroom include cotton bathrobes, hairdryer, and Crabtree &
Evelyn toiletries.

The muffled beating of the "Lali" drum
heralds sumptuous meals prepared by The Wakaya Club's four chefs and two
pastry chefs.The resident chefs create wonderfully unique dishes in
Continental, Indian, Chinese, and Fijian cuisine with local game, seafood,
and organically grown produce from Wakaya's own gardens. Dinner is served
in the "Palm Grove" dining pavilion, perhaps the finest (and
tallest) traditional structure in Fiji, with its soaring 60 ft. cathedral
ceiling. Lunch can be taken on the deck overlooking the lagoon, or the
Club staff can arrange a private picnic on a secluded beach.
