Matamanoa, literally translated from Fijian means 'soft on the eyes' or 'peaceful and serene'. It is a name which aptly describes this precious jewel set in the sunny Mamanuca island chain. A small intimate and secluded resort, this stunning cone-shaped volcanic island rises majestically from calm, reef-ringed waters just west of Fiji's main island of Viti Levu.

Matamanoa Island is a small, intimate and secluded Resort set in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands approximately 30 kilometres West of Nadi International Airport.

The Island boasts a volcanic cone jutting out of the turquoise/aqua blue waters of this unspoilt area of the Fiji Islands. Clad with dense bush and palm trees, the brilliance of the vegetation contrasts magnificently with the white curved sandy beach and pristine coral reefs.

Created for those who want to forget the pressures of their business or busy lifestyle or for those who dream of peace and tranquillity. In an effort to achieve this special atmosphere, Matamanoa Island Resort has adopted a year round policy of not permitting children under the age of 12 years.

Accommodation
Twenty Beachfront Bures - Nine on the Sunrise side and Eleven on the Sunset side. All Bures are two rooms plus bathroom and Patio. Bures have overhead fans and louvre windows to catch the trade breeze. The bedroom has two queen size beds with reading lights, luggage rack and double wardrobe with plenty of shelves - the sitting room also has overhead fan and louvre windows plus bar with fridge, tea/coffee facilities, clock/radio, two sofa beds, two upholstered chairs and coffee table with large glass sliding doors that open on to the patio which has two cushioned beach lounges and two outdoor chairs. Both rooms have very high traditional bure ceilings, which are covered in traditional Fijian Tapa and Magi Magi.

The bathroom includes separate large shower, Italian tiles, Granite top vanity with hairdryer and toilet, amenities.

 Thirteen air-conditioned Hotel Rooms set amongst tropical gardens. Each room has 1 queen bed, large wardrobe, bar unit with sink & fridge, table and two chairs, luggage rack, tea/coffee facilities, clock/radio. There is a small patio area outside each room with outdoor table and chairs.
