Final check in time at Blue Lagoon Cruises’ pre-boarding lounge at Lautoka is 1.30pm. After an opportunity for last minute shopping at our well stocked boutique and the fitting of snorkeling equipment you will be transferred by coach to the wharf to board one of Blue Lagoon Cruises stylish Club Class motor vessels.

Once onboard we set a north west course towards the spectacular Yasawa Islands. As dusk falls and the sun sets we anchor in a tranquil lagoon. Enjoy complimentary champagne cocktails and hors d’oeuvres followed by the sumptuous Captain’s dinner in the main saloon On completion of dinner relax and enjoy the entertainment provided by your crew.

Day 2

Enjoy an early morning swim followed by a hearty breakfast as we cruise towards the first stop of the day. After dropping anchor its all ashore. The hues of blue in the lagoon, the crystal clear water and colorful coral are breathtaking and absolutely ideal for snorkeling.

At midday a delectable beach barbecue luncheon is served in the shade of the palms. After lunch relax back onboard as we cruise towards our village stop. In the afternoon we are welcomed by the local villagers and entertained in traditional Fijian style with the solemn ‘Yaqona’ (kava) ceremony, ‘the traditional Meke’ (dance entertainment ) and the ‘Sere’ (singing).

Back onboard, we enjoy the tropical sunset and relax with a long cool drink or cocktail. Tonight our chefs have prepared a sumptuous smorgasbord dinner with a variety of seafood and exotic Fijian dishes. On completion of dinner enjoy the entertainment provided by your crew as they serenade you with the songs of Fiji.

Day 3

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the Captain skillfully pilots the ship through beautiful coral cays towards the first stop of the day. Having dropped anchor in a sheltered lagoon there’s ample time to explore, swim or snorkel before we set a course for the most perfect paradise of them all Blue Lagoon Cruises own island Nanuya Lailai.

The delicate coral and myriads of colorful fish can be viewed from the glass-bottom boat or during a guided snorkeling excursion. Other activities include fish feeding, sail boarding, spy boarding, paddle boarding, fishing, sunbathing or just relaxing under a palm tree with a favorite book and a long cool drink. For those feeling energetic enough join the crew for a game of beach volleyball.

Tonight is island night. A traditional island ‘Lovo’ feast is prepared in a ground oven by your crew with succulent pork, lamb, chicken, baked fish and an endless array of sensational island dishes. A ships beach party with island songs and dancing under the stars with the gentle lapping of the water just a few feet away is a very special experience you will long cherish.

  • Safety Drill: Shortly after sailing, a mandatory safety drill will be conducted onboard. Your life jacket is located in the Wardrobe of your stateroom or cabin.
  • Sun Tips: Blue Lagoon Cruises wishes to emphasise the importance of using sun screen and recommends that you should use a water-resistant 15+ when in the sun. Make sure you maintain your waterproof sunblock and lip screen throughout the day and wear a hat and sunglasses when you are on the beach or on a boat. While snorkelling, you are most vulnerable to the sun so wearing a t-shirt is recommended
  • Snorkelling Tips: The snorkelling opportunities around the Yasawas and Mamanucas are legendary with some of the most beautiful coral and marine life in the world on view. To ensure that you and future visitors may enjoy the beauty of the reefs, we ask that you consider the following:
    • Never snorkel alone.
    • Do not remove living shells or coral from the reef – you may be depriving a hermit crab of a home.
    • If you turn any coral rocks around to get a better view, please make sure you turn them back as there are organisms under the coral sheltering from predators. Left exposed, they will soon be eaten. Similarly eggs of various reef creatures are laid under coral blocks. Their survival is vital for posterity.
    • Do not kneel, walk on or grasp any coral. Some are remarkably fragile and any small pieces you break will take several years to grow again.
    • Alcohol, drugs and snorkelling can be a fatal combination: always enter the water with a clear head.
  • Diving: With advance notice, scuba diving expeditions can be arranged. Visit also Yasawa Diving.
  • Deck Plan: A deck plan and safety instructions are located on the inside of your stateroom or cabin door.
