Weddings can be arranged on the
beach, in garden settings, or in churches. Many hotels
have their own packages and they can be as simple or elaborate as your
clients may wish.
Legal requirements are simple in that
people must be in Rarotonga or Aitutaki ( if they marry in Aitutaki ) at
least 3 clear working days before the wedding can take place.
Documents required are
passport, birth certificates and if either party has been married before,
decree absolute papers. Any certificates not in English should be
accompanied by a legally certified translation. Simple renewal of vows
ceremonies can be performed if required. We do not conduct fun or
non-binding weddings in the Cook Islands.
For weddings officially to be registered in your
home-country, it might be require to get an apostille stamp or other
validity confirmation stamp on your wedding certificate. Usually this has
to be arranged through the consul of your home country in the Cook Islands,
eg. for Germany and Britain the Honorary Consul in Averua, for Holland the
embassy in Auckland, New Zealand. For
