Night
spots, discos with bands and island dancing feature at the major hotels
and resorts. Wining and dining is also a delight as a number of excellent
restaurants offer a fine selection of local and international cuisines and
are romantically located along the seafront.
A
highlight in the Cook Islands is the Polynesian Feast or Banquet, prepared
in the traditional style with foods such as ika mata (marinated fish with
coconut sauce), eke (octopus), taro (tuba vegetable), rukau (spinach like
taro leaves) and kumara (sweet potato).
