- Bolgart
The town is built near a spring and derives it's name from the Aboriginal
word 'bullgert', meaning magic swamp place.
- Gingin
Gingin is a small picturesque town. Set in Redgum country along the unique
fresh water Gingin Brook.
- Guilderton
Guilderton lies at the mouth of the Moore River a popular day trip and
coastal holiday destination. Here you will find good fishing in the river
and sea, and safe swimming for children.
- Jaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail
The trail extends 28km North of Joondalup following a chain of coastal
lakes once used by the Yaberoo People and as a stock route by early
pastoralists settled in the area. The trail is for serious walkers and
brochures about the walk can be obtained from Yanchep National Park of the
City of Wanneroo.
- Jurien
Fishermen are assured of good catches from boat, beach or jetty. Located
on a sheltered bay, Jurien offers excellent beach and ocean recreation.
- Lancelin
Lancelin is fast becoming known as the sailboard mecca of Western
Australia and is a colourful spectacle with large numbers of international
and interstate windsurfers taking advantage of the excellent local
conditions. Long stretches of white sandy beach provide ideal swimming for
children, and the extensive Lancelin desert provides the perfect location
for the off road enthusiast. A safe anchorage and offshore reef make
Lancelin a productive and safe area for those keen on boating and fishing.
- Ledge Point
Built around the fishing industry, Ledge Point is a centre that provides
activities for all age groups. Sporting facilities, safe swimming and boating,
picnic facilities, complement the relaxed lifestyle and friendly
atmosphere of this ideal family holiday spot.
- Seabird
A small but growing fishing village, Seabird offers "away from it all"
tranquillity with a safe beach and ample leisure pursuits.
- Stockyard Gully National Park
Named after one of the stopping places used by drovers on the North Road
Stock Route located north east of Lurien via Cockleshell Gully Road. The
National Park is accessible by 4 wheel drive vehicle only.
