| The small city of SHEPPARTON is the operations centre for the SPC and Ardmona canned fruit companies, with peaches, pears, apples and plums tinned and exported worldwide; with its pleasant riverside picnic spots, it also makes a good place to stop for a while on the way to Echuca. Tourist information is located beside Victoria Park Lake in the south of town, at 534 Wyndham St on the Goulburn Valley Highway (daily 9am–5pm). | |
