A lakeside boardwalk will take you to a village green around which you will find restaurant, the local baker, butcher, general store, waterfront hotel and quaint craft shops.

  • Lake Cruises: Daily cruise’s from Metung and Lakes Entrance. Boats vary from high speed catamaran to historic sailing ketch. Self drive hire boats available in Metung.
  • Fishing: Daily chartered fishing trips on the Gippsland Lakes. All equipment supplied. Local guide onboard.
  • 4WD Tours: Exploer the High Country and Snowy River National Parks with experienced guides.
  • Trail Rides: Day and half day horse rides in spectacular mountain country. “Bush tucker” picnic lunches a specialty.
  • Adventure Walking: Discover waterfalls, rain forests, old growth forests with local guide. Day and half day tours available.
  • Self Drive Tours: Take off by yourselves to explore the High Country, historic gold fields, National Parks, the Antiques and  art & craft galleries of East Gippsland. Day tour brochures available from the Moorings.
