The Menzies is built on the oval of a former historic school which was attended by the famous Australian Prime Minister Robert Gordon Menzies from whom the name was derived.
The Club Bar Lounge, which is
open to the public, is a pleasant retreat within the restaurant allowing
those not dining in the restaurant to sit and chat over coffee or drinks.
Restaurant & Bar
From risotto made the traditional way, with only two ingredients, to pasta topped with reggiano imported from Italy, the dishes are simple, yet sumptuous. Cooking techniques are innovative -oysters are treated differently from anywhere else in Ballarat, with a tempura batter and two dipping sauces.
The desserts, which are made daily, are just as indulgent as the decor and main meals. Even the coffee is made with the finest ingredients - only Segafredo coffee is used in the Italian tradition.

Harry Limes Restaurant was is named after the main character in The Third Man, a movie which exemplified the attention to detail which the staff practise at the restaurant.
The Club Bar Lounge, which is open to the public, is a pleasant retreat within the restaurant allowing those not dining in the restaurant to sit and chat over coffee or drinks.
Harry Limes is a casual dining place with the benefits of great food, inviting decor and good company. The food and wine menus change every three months, and chefs attend wine tastings so that they can create dishes to marry food creations with wine.
