The Indiand Pacific, a Train Journey in Australia

Travelling Holiday Class

Holiday Class cabins offer passengers comfortable private sleeping accommodation to fit a budget. Holiday Class is a great way for families to travel, with private compartments offering seating to view the passing scenery by day, converting to comfortable sleepers at night. These compartments are twin share and are the same size as First Class Single Sleepers.

The Holiday Class cabin comprises two facing lounge chairs. At night the chairs convert to upper and lower sleeping berths complete with fresh sheets, pillows and dunas. The rooms are fitted with private washing facilities, towels, wardrobe, vanity mirror, 3 pin 240/110 AC power point, reading lamps and foldaway table.

Showers and toilets are located at the end of each carriage. There are 16 compartments in each carriage. Holiday Class passengers travelling alone may be required to share a twin cabin. All cabins are air-conditioned and will remain at a constant temperature during your journey across Australia. Holiday Class passengers can also choose to sit back and relax in the Holiday Class Lounge.

Passengers travelling in Holiday Class must check their luggage in at the luggage counter and only take on board the items required for the journey.
