| Leave Sydney at 8.00am
for historic Windsor; cross the Hawkesbury River on your way
up onto the sandstone plateau that comprises the Blue Mountains;
follow bush tracks into rugged canyons and take in the Cathedral of
Ferns atop Mt. Wilson; descend into farmlands en route to the
convict town-ship of Hartley; pine plantations dominate the
landscape before arriving at the holiday cabins, your accommodation
for the next two nights. The flats teem with wildlife and kangaroos can be
observed around the cabins.L, D
Day 2: Jenolan Caves - Kanangra National Park |

| An early morning wombat
prowl before hiking down the Six-Foot-Track to Jenolan Caves
to explore this extensive limestone cave system (guided tour optional);
continue to Kanangra Boyd National Park (1300 mtr above sea
level), an isolated region of sub-alpine plants and windswept heathlands;
walk to Kalang Falls and along the cliff tops of Kanangra Walls
where breath-taking views unfold; in the afternoon return to your cabins.

River to the Blue Mountains; enjoy stunning views at Govetts
Leap and take in the impressive sandstone formation of The Three
Sisters; experience temperate rainforest as you hike from Wentworth
Falls along the cliffs to the Valley of Waters; return to Sydney
in late afternoon and transfer to your hotel; end of tour. B, L

| After a hearty breakfast
depart for the Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest wine region; enjoy some
outstanding wines before travelling via historic Wollombi and along a
dusty convict trail to St Albans; have a refreshing drink at the famous
‘Settlers Arm’; cross the Hawkesbury River by ferry and arrive back in
Sydney with a lot of memories. B, L

Continue your trip on South Gippsland Highway past the now obsolete "Omega Navigation Facility"; a short drive brings us to the oldest settlement in Gippsland - Port Albert (1844); from Mt Fatigue in the Strzelecki Ranges the fantastic view across South Gippsland and Wilsons Promontory is breathtaking; in the afternoon travel in to the Dandenong Ranges, visit a vineyard to sample some outstanding wine and continue on to Melbourne; with a brief sightseeing trip and the hotel transfer our service ends.
