beaten track action, then look no further than our Kimberley adventure. Here,
we travel through some of the most isolated and scenic parts of Western
Australia.
Major highlights of this tour are the Gibb
River Road, Lake Argyle, Ord River Scheme, Hidden Valley, the Bungle
Bungle Ranges, Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek. Our Kimberley safaris
include camping in swags at Bush Camps with limited facilities and no
tents. A reasonable level of fitness is required for full participation.

Itinerary
Day 1: We
begin our adventure travelling from Darwin to Katherine, and then to
Lake Argyle via the small town of Timber Creek. (LD)
Day 2: We
spend the morning at the Ord River Scheme & the scenic Hidden Valley
National Park. Next the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu) National Park where we
camp the second night. (BLD)
Day 3: A
full day is spent exploring the unusual rock formations of the Bungle
Bungle Ranges (Purnululu). We visit the magnificent Cathedral Gorge,
with optional scenic helicopter flight (at own expense) over the Bungles.
Walk through Picaninny Creek, and visit the breathtaking Echidna Chasm.

Day 4: A
morning at the Bungles before pushing onto Wyndham. Travel to Five
Rivers Lookout for lunch at the Grotto before travelling to El Questro
Cattle Station for overnight camp. (BLD)
Day 5: Mornings
activities (at own expense) at El Questro followed by lunch & a swim
at Jacks Waterhole, then some serious off road driving through the
Pentecost Ranges. Overnight at Rush Ck. bush camp. (BLD)
Day 6: Visit
Manning, Galvins, Adcock Gorges (swim & view native wildlife). We
drive the Gibb River Road to either Bell Creek Gorge or King Leopold
Range for our bush camp. (BLD)
Day 7: Morning
swim at Bell Creek Gorge, then travel through King Leopold & Napier
Ranges until reaching Windjana Gorge, view the abundant wildlife
including freshwater crocodiles and explore 350 million year old
fossilised reef walls rising 90 metres above the river bed. (BLD)
Day 8: Wade
through the icy underground stream to explore ancient limestone Caves at
Tunnel Creek. Visit Derby, the famous boab prison tree before arriving
in Broome for sunset on Cable Beach. (BL)
Our Kimberley safaris include camping in swags
at Bush Camps with limited facilities & no tents. Passengers can
bring only 15kg of luggage, any more can be freighted to arrival point (passengers
freight is at own expense). A reasonable level of fitness is needed for
full participation.
Bring: Sturdy
Walking Shoes, Swimming Gear, Hat & Sunscreen, Water Bottle, Towel
and toiletries, Torch/Flashlight, Pillow, Warm clothing in winter months,
Flynet, Insect Repellant, Camera & Film, sleeping bag ( can be hired
for $10 )
