Day 1 Thur. Darwin (D): You will be welcomed on arrival in Darwin by your crew and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Darwin including the Botanical Gardens, Chinese Joss House and Darwin Museum. Overnight: Darwin, All Seasons Premier Darwin Central Hotel, in the heart of Darwin.

Day 2 Fri. Wildman Mary River Cruise - Kakadu National Park (BD): Explore the waterways of the Mary River and its billabongs on a private cruise capturing views of wildlife, birdlife, waterlilies and mangroves. Enter World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park, an area comprising over 20 000 square kilometres of natural scenic features, wildlife and birdlife. Visit Bowali Visitor Centre for an insight into Kakadu's many unique features and learn of the natural and cultural harmony within the Park. WSNK passengers fly to Darwin today. Welcomed on arrival and transfer to All Seasons Premier Darwin Central Hotel for overnight (breakfast included). Overnight: Jabiru, Gagudju Crocodile Hotel or All Seasons Frontier Kakadu Village.

Day 3 Sat. Nourlangie Rock - Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) Cruise (BD): View the aboriginal rock art galleries at Nourlangie Rock, part of the spectacular Arnhem Land Escarpment. Travel through Kakadu, passing impressive termite mounds and corkscrew palms, to Pine Creek. On arrival in Katherine join your cruise between the sheer sandstone walls of Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge). An informative commentary on the extensive plantlife and wildlife found in the gorges is provided by your local guide. Overnight: Katherine, Paraway Motel (depts. 29 July & 21 Aug. 1999 stay All Seasons Frontier Katherine).

Day 4 Sun. Lake Argyle - Ord River Wildlife Cruise - Kununurra (BD): Cross the mighty Victoria River into the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. WSKX passengers join tour at Lake Argyle, Australia's largest man-made lake, with a capacity nine times Sydney Harbour. Enjoy your cruise on the majestic Ord River. See Elephant Rock, boab tree groves, crocodiles and tropical birdlife. Overnight: Kununurra, Mercure Inn (depts. 17 June & 19 Aug. 1999, stay Country Club Hotel).

Day 5 Mon. Wyndham - Crocodile Farm - El Questro - Emma Gorge Resort (BD): Tour Kununurra before travelling through ancient gorge country to Wyndham. Visit the Crocodile Farm and experience spectacular views from Five Rivers Lookout. This afternoon, travel to one of the world's most unique holiday destinations, El Questro Station and Wilderness Park, a 405 000 hectare cattle station in the heart of the Kimberley. Your 2 night stay will surely be a highlight. Overnight: El Questro, Emma Gorge Resort for 2 nights, luxurious tented cabins (some share facilities) Note: December dept. will stay Kununurra and not visit El Questro. Bungle Bungle flights included in lieu.

Day 6 Tue. Chamberlain Gorge Cruise - Zebedee Springs - Emma Gorge - Bird Watching - Sunset Drinks (BD): Begin the day with a cruise through Chamberlain Gorge. The gorge can only be travelled by small boat and is a unique experience not to be missed. See towering escarpments bounded by wilderness and fine examples of Wandjina rock art. This afternoon, enjoy free time for optional activities such as horse riding or scenic helicopter flights (own expense), before visiting Zebedee Springs where a short walk leads you to a series of natural thermal pools. For the energetic, an escorted walk into Emma Gorge takes you to a secluded pool in a moss and fern encrusted chasm, and join the local Ranger for a guided bird-watching walk. As the sun sets over the Cockburn Range, enjoy a glass of champagne and celebrate the "Turn of the Century".

Day 7 Wed. Argyle Diamond Mine (BLD): Travel by coach through scenic Kimberley country to Argyle Diamond Mine, or for those who wish take an optional scenic flight via the spectacular Bungle Bungle in Purnululu National Park (own expense). Enjoy a guided tour of Argyle Diamond Mine, including the display of exquisite coloured diamonds for which the mine is world famous.
Overnight: Fitzroy Crossing, Fitzroy River Lodge.

Day 8 Thur. Geikie Gorge Cruise - Windjana Gorge - Tunnel Creek (BD): Begin the day with a cruise between the limestone walls of Geikie Gorge, formed 300 million years ago. Watch out for crocodiles! (Cruise not available December departure). Cross the Oscar Range to Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge National Parks and explore the landscapes. Overnight: Derby, King Sound Resort Hotel.

Day 9 Fri. Boab Prison Tree - Broome - "Dine Around Dinner" (BD): Tour Derby and see the circular wharf and Boab Prison Tree, before travelling to Broome. This evening, enjoy our "Dine Around Dinner". Choose from selected restaurants within the Resort. Overnight: Broome, Cable Beach Inter-Continental Resort for 2 nights.

Day 10 Sat. Broome (B): Morning tour of Broome, the former pearling capital of the world. See Chinatown and Streeters Jetty where luggers once unloaded their harvest. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Perhaps witness the awe-inspiring sunset from Cable Beach, or enjoy a night out at Broome's own outdoor cinema.

Day 11 Sun. Port Hedland (BD): Travel through some of the most sparsely populated areas in Australia as we skirt the Great Sandy Desert to the east and the Eighty-Mile Beach to the west. Overnight: Port Hedland, Mercure Inn.

Day 12 Mon. Marble Bar (BD): Tour Port Hedland. Stop at Marble Bar, named after the unique bar of "marble" that crosses the Coongan River - it is renowned as the hottest town in Australia. Continue to Newman, established to house the workforce for the Mt. Whaleback Mine. Overnight: All Seasons Newman Hotel for 2 nights.

Day 13 Tue. Guided Mine Tour (BD): Guided tour of the Mt. Whaleback open cut iron ore mining operation where you will be dwarfed by the monster dump trucks. Remainder of day at leisure.

Day 14 Wed. Karijini National Park - Fortescue Falls - Tom Price (BD): A day of spectacular scenery awaits as we explore the ancient landscapes of Karijini (Hamersley Range) National Park. Visit Dales Gorge and Fortescue Falls. Experience the beauty of deep gorges, cool waterholes and striking red walls from Oxers Lookout, providing amazing views over Red, Weano, Joffre and Hancock Gorges. Overnight: Tom Price, Hillview Lodge.

Day 15 Thur. Millstream-Chichester National Park - Karratha (BLD): View Hamersley Gorge, with its unusual wave-like striations. Enter Millstream-Chichester National Park to visit secluded Millstream, two tropical pools ringed with ferns. Continue north to the coast and stop at Cossack, once a bustling pearling port. Overnight: Karratha, Karratha International.

Day 16 Fri. Karratha - Exmouth (BD): Tour Dampier. Visit Woodside Petroleum's North- West Shelf Visitors' Centre then travel south along the North-West Coastal Highway to Exmouth. Overnight: Exmouth, Pot Shot Hotel Resort.

Day 17 Sat. Ningaloo Reef Cruise (BD): Visit Turquoise Bay where you may see dugongs and turtles, and Vlaming Head Lighthouse a great viewing point for Humpback Whales, in season. Travel to Coral Bay in Ningaloo Marine Park. Cruise the beautiful coral reefs aboard your glass-bottom boat and see a myriad of sea-life. Overnight: Carnarvon, Fascine Lodge.

Day 18 Sun. Shark Bay Marine Park - Monkey Mia - Dolphins (BD): Journey along the Peron Peninsula through Shark Bay World Heritage Marine Park. Learn about the stromatolites, the world's oldest known living organism, and see fascinating Shell Beach comprising billions of tiny shells. Arrive Monkey Mia where "wild" dolphins interact with the people (subject to dolphin appearance). Overnight: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort.

Day 19 Mon. Kalbarri National Park - Wildflowers (BD): Explore Kalbarri National Park, renowned for its diversity and brilliance of wildflowers during spring. Enjoy spectacular views over the Murchison River from Hawk's Head Lookout. Tour Geraldton including the harbour where cray boats abound. Overnight: Geraldton, Hospitality Inn.

Day 20 Tue. Pinnacles - Perth (B): Travel to Nambung National Park. Wander amongst the mystical Pinnacles. Overnight: Perth, Duxton Hotel for 2 nights.

Day 21 Wed. Swan River Cruise - Historic Fremantle (BD): Tour Perth, Kings Park and Botanical Gardens, and cruise the Swan River. Stroll Fremantle's harbourside streets enjoying the character of this historic port.

Day 22 Thur. Perth (B): Your tour concludes this morning after breakfast.
