Diamond Island Resort is situated 2.5kms north of Bicheno town centre on Tasmania's east coast and overlooks the coastline and the Tasman Sea. It is ideally located to use as a base to visit Freycinet National Park and other areas of the east coast. The Resort offers magnificent coastal and island vistas, and direct beach and foreshore access. We are on 7 acres of landscaped gardens, in a quiet peacful surrounds, yet right on the doorstep of the open ocean. Accommodation The Resort has 12 two storey (2 bedroom) units, sleeping 5-6 persons. The resort also features 3 ground floor units sleeping up to 3 people. All units are fully self contained and have private bathroom facilities. There is a restaurant on the property

The Diamond Island Resort has a fully licenced restaurant specialising in Tasmanian seafood and game with a good selection of local Tasmanian and Mainland wines. Hotel Facilities The other facilities include a cocktail bar and lounge area, outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis court and table tennis room, video games room, barbeque gazebo and nightly tours of the Diamond Island Fairy Penguin Rookery (free to inhouse guests). Tasmania's fabulous east coast is located at Bicheno's doorstep. Enjoy accessible short or long walks and marvel at an abundance of flora and fauna. Stand in awe of proud eucalypts rising above a carpet of growth, rich in diversity. While staying at Diamond Island you are automatically included in the evening Penguin Experience. Fairy Penguins come ashore each night (Sep. to Feb.) after a day in the ocean and can be seen in the wild by joining the group. You should reserve your place for the Penguin viewing when reserving accommodation
