Hotel in Craddle Mountains

Craddle Mountain Lodge

Cradle Mountain Lodge is perched high in the Tasmanian wilderness, a land of ancient forests and raw beauty.

Cradle Mountain Lodge is a unique wilderness retreat on the edge of the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Park.

The awesome beauty of this region is truly inspiring. Here you see the face of creation all around you in the mirror lakes and rugged mountain peaks. And you don't have to be an environmentalist to feel humble in the towering presence of a King Billy Pine. Over 1,000 years old yet still a relative newcomer to these ancient forests.

This is a superb escape. Such a different way of life with cosy cabins, breathtaking scenery, magnificent meals and days filled with simple pleasures.

The lodge itself has an ambience of warmth and security that welcomes you to every room. Something here returns you to those childhood days when it just felt good to be indoors. Perhaps it's the glow of the open fires that keeps drawing you back.

Or perhaps the mood calls for a less formal meal and a country pub atmosphere. That leads you to the Tavern Bar, popular with the locals and a great place to share your adventures with new friends.

The winner of numerous awards including State tourism awards for Best Resort and Environmental Tourism, Cradle Mountain Lodge is a world apart. A wilderness retreat with comfortable cabins, cosy log fires, companionable bars and fine food and wines. The wilderness beckons with a range of daily guided activities being offered from walks, four wheel drive tours, Mountain bike tours or a stretch class to set you into the day. Within the Lodge relax with a massage or sauna or learn the latest on Tasmanian Wine & Cheese
