Hotel in Adelaide Hills

Thorngrove Manor

Situated at Stirling, in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, 16 kms East of Adelaide, 20 minutes drive from the central business district. Set in an historic and traditional hills garden,

It's multi-towered castle like appearance with an abundance of gables  and turrets creates a mood of escapist fantasy.  This unique accommodation is flamboyant, creative and very individual.  It has been designed for the first class traveler looking for a rewarding and refreshingly different experience.  The interior reflects rare craftsmanship featuring very select antique pieces complemented by modern amenities.

Thorngrove is a Victorian Gothic Revival style building. All guest areas and rooms are furnished with collectable antiques, 4 poster beds, medieval tapestries and leather chesterfields. Meals served in suites, a truly private indulgence. Room service available. Lock up parking facilities are also available.

Thorngrove Manor was recently described as ‘one of the world’s truly outstanding properties’. Uniquely different, the status of ‘hotel’ belies its true character. This turreted and gabled baroque fantasy exterior is a prelude to the flamboyant and romantic interiors that have been individually designed and furnished with great ingenuity. Antiques and hand-crafted decor happily co-exist with every modern facility.

Another distinguishing feature is the privacy Thorngrove affords its guests; each suite has been cleverly devised to have its own entrance so that you may never even be aware there are any other guests! You will, however, meet the owners and warm at once to their welcome.

Dining

All tariffs include a light breakfast or a room service  cooked menu selection. Candlelight, silver service dinners are served privately, course by course, and individually to your suite at your preferred time. The food, the service and the comfort levels surpass all five-star ratings. Altogether, a remarkable place and well worth the journey.
