Hook Island Wilderness Resort is a true wonder of the world. The Island is 95% National Park and is the second biggest Island in the Whitsundays.

Hook Island Wilderness Resort is renowned for its tranquility and unspoiled beauty with its peaceful and relaxing environment. Holiday makers can finally experience natural flora and fauna in their own habitat.

The resort boasts many activities e.g.: Ultimate scuba sessions, bush walking safaris and the underwater observatory OR  you can choose to do all or absolutely nothing.

Accommodation

With only 10 cabins, 2 dorm rooms and 20 campsites, the resort adds a relaxed and personal touch to your holiday. Besides the camping option, there are 2 types of accommodation.

  • Beach Front Cabins
    Private shower / toilet, tea / coffee making facilities and bar fridge. Linen supplied, excluding towels, 

  • Share Accommodation (dorm)
    Linen supplied excluding toweles, BBQ facilities and shared toilets and showers.

Marine Life
There is not a moment at the Resort when nature is not showing us the natural wonders of the world. From coral depths to an abundant of breathless striking colourful fish. Whales can be seen swimming and playing in front of the resort between the months of July to October.
The Underwater Observatory
Was first open to the public in June 1969, guests are still able to view underwater marine life and the hundreds of species of coral. The site for the observatory was chosen because it was home to some of the best coral on the islands, a seascape of unequalled beauty.

Transfers are by fast catamaran and departing 10.30am, returning 9.00am daily from Abel Point Marina, Airlie Beach
