Oasis Lodge is situated in Carnarvon National Park in the southern part of Central Queensland, 750 km north-west of Brisbane. The spectacular Carnarvon Gorge is one of the most remarkable natural wonders of the world, and carries special significance in Aboriginal mythology.
Spectacular Carnavon Gorge is a unique landmark which is famous for its dramatic cliffs, lush tropical side gorges and incredible sandstone formations. At the entrance is Oasis Lodge, a collection of safari cabins with their own outback charm blending unobtrusively with the surrounding flora. Oasis Lodge is a welcoming, comfortable base from which to discover the timeless mysteries of the gorge.
Accommodation
Unique timber and canvas Safari Cabins have their own outback charm and
blend unobtrusively with the surrounding Macrozamias, Cabbage Palms and
Gums. A wide shady verandah allows you to sit back in your Squatters chair
and listen to the sounds of the bush and watch the variety of wildlife
roaming quietly nearby.
All cabins are furbished with quality hand-crafted furnishings, shady verandahs, squatter chairs, en-suites, walk-in wardrobes, refrigerators, tea and coffee making facilities, heaters and fans.

Meals are served in the "Squatters Dining Room", or outdoors under the clear western sky. The barbecue area is also popular with guests. Enjoy a drink in the Oasis Bar, or relax in the "Macrozamia Lounge", which is also the venue for film nights, bush dances and the like.

Location
From Rolleston it is a further 61km south to the turn-off to Carnarvon Gorge. Most of this road is unsealed. It is suitable for conventional vehicle in dry weather. Take the signed turn-off to the park.
From the turn-off, you will drive over approximately 20km of unsealed road to the park. Following heavy rain, the unsealed roads may become impassable. Creeks are subject to flooding. It is advisable to check with Oasis Lodge on phone 1800 644 150 for up-to-date road conditions
