Dining

Each meal is a gourmet adventure on Brampton with the Carlisle Restaurant offering hearty cooked breakfasts, tempting buffet lunches and mouth-watering a la carte dinner specialties. Adding variety to this selection are weekly barbecues and sumptuous seafood smorgasbords and carveries prepared by a talented team of chefs and designed to tempt even the most jaded palate.

For a romantic dinner for two, succulent seafood platters are available to enjoy by the pool, or on your own private balcony.

  • Carlisle Restaurant: Carlisle Restaurant is the main dining area for the resort. Full buffet breakfast is available from 8.00am to 10.00am, and either a daily changing Table d'hote menu or speciality buffet dinners from 7.00pm to 10.00pm every night. Tropical Seafood Platters are available for couples in the evening by the main pool, on the beach, on the balcony of your room or in the Carlisle Restaurant.

  • Saltwater Rocks Cafe: Saltwater Rocks Cafe is open from Midday to 8pm offering light meals and snacks.

  • Cumberland Bar: features nightly entertainment and is open from 6pm to Midnight.
  • Oasis Bar: is al fresco and open from 10am to 9pm daily.

Location

Brampton Island is located in the Cumberland Group of islands, 32 km north-east of Mackay at the entrance to the Whitsunday passage.

Access by small plane only

Just a twelve minute scenic flight, or an easy launch trip from Mackay on Queensland's central coast, Brampton Island covers 7.7 kilometres and is located at the entrance of the Whitsunday passage. 

Regular flights are available from all major Australian capital cities to Brampton Island (BMP) daily via Mackay (MKY) or Hamilton Island (HTI) with Qantas or Ansett.*

Transfers are available by arrangement from Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island . Please note passengers on connecting flights to Brampton Island may be limited to one suitcase and one small carry-on item of hand luggage each. A limit of 16kg applies (subject to loading restrictions).* Transtate Airlines (BH)operates the flights between Mackay (MKY) and Brampton Island (BMP). Additionally, a number of charter services are available.
