Fitzroy Island
Fitzroy Island is a continental island, not a cay like Green Island, and has a low-key, good-value Resort set in forest near the shore, from where you can dive on the island’s reef. Fitzroy is actually quite large and, away from the resort, there are some good walks through highland greenery where you can escape the sunbathing hordes.
