Hotel in Sydney (Kings Cross / Darlinghurst) Boulevard Hotel |
| The Sydney Boulevard was built in the
mid 1970s and has rooms from 29 to 33 square metres, larger than most more
modern hotels. At 25 storeys high, it offers superb panoramic views of the
Domain and Sydney Harbour from its north facing rooms.
Its 25th Floor Restaurant and cocktail bar has some of the very best hotel views in Sydney, and is magic on a sunny day. Apart from the 25th floor restaurant and bar, the hotel has the Bayview Brasserie on the mezzanine level serving buffet or a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a lobby lounge looking out to busy William Street through floor to ceiling windows. The 1st floor Sports Bar has large screen monitors on which it shows major televised sporting events and features a collection of sports memorabilia. Light lunches are available. Because much of its food and beverage trade comes from nearby and city business people, some of its outlets, including the 25th floor, close through January and on public holidays. The hotel has a total of 272 rooms including six suites divided into standard, deluxe and executive. It offers a good range of in-room facilities with its Emerald Executive room particularly equipped for business travellers. They provide a work desk with extra power points for laptop computer and mobile telephone charges, data ports, and a facsimile rental service. |
|
| Executive guests get
access to a private lounge with international newspapers and magazines,
complimentary continental breakfast and evening drinks on weekdays, and
niceties such as free shoe shine and morning newspaper. All rooms are
comfortably furnished in light, restful colours.
The Boulevard has extensive meeting facilities from two boardrooms each seating 10 to a ballroom which can accommodate 500 theatre style or 400 for a banquet. It has plenty of conference and function experience. The Sydney Boulevard is on William Street, the main exit road from the city to Kings Cross and the Eastern Suburbs of Double Bay and Watsons Bay. The more energetic can walk to the Town Hall precinct or the main shopping area of the city in 10 to 20 minutes. Frequent buses stop almost directly in front of the hotel and taxis are generally plentiful. The Kings Cross restaurant and entertainment strip is 10 minutes walk away. |
