An area in excess of 4 square kilometres (over 1000 acres) which was previously uninhabited. Five properties were purchased in order to access and create the resort. These had been in the one family since the original land grants around 1840.
The elevation on the property varies from sea level to 455 metres at the Mt. George Trig Station, one of the National Survey Points.
