Hotel in the Blue Mountains (Leura) Peppers Fairmont Resort |
| Fairmont Resort at Leura is a
full-service hotel which caters for couples, families and the conference
market.
Set in 25 acres of lawns and bushland at Sublime Point, overlooking the Jamison Valley and the Leura golf course, Fairmont offers a vast range of fitness and recreation facilities unmatched in the Blue Mountains. These range from aerobics classes to horse riding, bushwalking, cycling, squash, archery, tennis to pool and billiards. The resort has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with spa, saunas and unisex steam rooms. It is a rambling low-rise hotel in the style of a huge English manor house in lovely grounds. Fairmont has a nightclub which is open until late, as well as the Embers Bar and Lobby lounge, both with open fires. Three restaurants - Misty's, Jamisons and the Terrace - give guests plenty of choice. There is 24-hour room service for those who prefer privacy. It specialises in conferences with 11 meeting rooms and a grand ballroom. Its Project Genesis facility offers a range of executive development and bonding programs. |
|
| At the same time, it
offers accommodation for families with children with the convenience of a
children's club and babysitting facilities so parents are free to enjoy
themselves. Indoor diversions include billiards and pool.
Fairmont Resort has a wide range of room choices ranging from basic twins to junior and luxury suites. Guests can chose from King, Queen, double and twin-bedded rooms with sofa beds offering flexibility. Though it is the largest hotel in the Mountains, Fairmont has just 210 rooms so it is still small enough to give guests a level of personal service. The resort organises a wide range of social sports activities to keep its guests amused. These include beach volleyball, canoe racing, tennis and in-court soccer. People who want to get the most out of the Blue Mountains environment can hire cycles, go for a horse ride, bushwalk, or book an outside excursion ranging from scenic coach tours to a four-wheel-drive eco-tour. |
