RENTAL CONDITIONS:

All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions on the rental agreement.  Refer to the rental office and the rental agreement applicable at the time of rental for full details.  Rates and fleet range may vary from location to location.

DRIVERS LICENCE & AGE QUALIFICATION:

All current Australian, Overseas (in English) or International Drivers licences are acceptable.  Provisional licences are not accepted.  Minimum age is 21 years for small and medium passenger cars.  Minimum age for Four Wheel Drivers, Large Sedans, Remote Area Vehicles and Buses is strictly 25 years.  Drivers younger than these age restrictions must arrnage their own insurance cover for the vehicle being rented and provide proof thereof.  There is a $15 per day surcharge for drivers between 21 and 25 years.

RENTAL DURATION:

A rental day is deemed to be 24 hours from the commencement of the rental.

GOVERNMENT STAMP DUTY:

Total charges for rental of the vehicle and excess kilometres are subject to government stamp duty.

FUEL:

Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel.   Vehicles may either be returned with a full tank of fuel, or the renter will be charged the cost of refuelling.  All other fuel costs whilst on rent are the renter's responsibility.

FUEL BOND:

Customers will be required to pay a fuel bond at the time of renting the vehicle, currently AUD$250.00

CASH PAYMENT:

For approved cash customers, payment of the estimated cost of rental and fuel bond must be made at the time of rental.  Any unused amount will be refunded at the conclusion of the rental.

CREDIT CARDS:

Territory Thrifty Car Rental accepts all major credit cards including American Express, Diners Club, Bankcard, Visa and Mastercard.

REFUNDS:

No refunds are available once travel has commenced.

CANCELLATION FEES:

If the booking is cancelled within 14 days of pick up date, a $200 cancellation fee will apply.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:

In the interest of customer safety, Territory Thrifty Car Rental reserves the right to accept or deny any booking or to terminate any rental agreement in progress.  Territory Thrifty Car Rentals also reserves the right to restrict access of vehicles to nominated areas.

TRUCK RENTAL:

We offer the Northern Territory's largest range of trucks, from 1 tonne utilities to 8 tonne traybacks and Pantecs.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS ON 4WD HIRE:

Territory Thrifty Car Rental until further notice does not allow its vehicles into Jim Him or Twin Falls in Kakadu National Park.   Please note that these vehicles have speed inhibiters installed.
