- Engine: The A340 is powered by four of
the most popular jet engines in existence, that is the CFM56 built by

Service & Amenities on board

|
The A340 is a twin-aisle wide-body aircraft with
a 208 inch cabin width. This has led to a choice of six-abreast seating in
POERAVA
Club («Pearl» or Business Class) and eight abreast seating in MOANA
Class («Ocean» or Economy Class). This arrangement provides for
twin-seating only. It avoids any triple (except for 18 seats) or
five-abreast arrangements common to other types of aircraft, while giving
seat width equivalent or superior to other types. Three cabins are
available. One 36 seat POERAVA cabin equipped with SICMA
Goldwing twin seats and two MOANA cabins equipped with 136 and 114
SICMA seats. High cabin ceiling and exceptional overhead stowage volume is
provided. If you want to make a phone call during flight,
satellite phones are available : two at the back, one at the front and one
in each POERAVA seat. The crew will help you with instructions. All major
credit cards are accepted. Our video
programs
are shown using the latest Matsushita equipment. Individual
video sets are provided in each POERAVA seat. The environmental sound
suppressing earphones in those seats provide a listening quality
surprisingly superior to the usual earphones.
