You can chose a oneworld Explorer fare in First, Business or Economy Class, whichever suits your business or leisure needs. You have the option to add as many extra sectors as you wish.

When travelling First or Business Class, you even have the option of choosing to fly Concorde with British Airways across the Atlantic for an additional charge.

The Global Explorer Airfare is one of the most flexible airfares, allowing you to travel almost every corner of the World during a year. You may use all flights of the member airlines of the OneWorld Alliance, such as  British Airways, Qantas, American Airlines, Canadian Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Lan Chile, Air Pacific, Deutsche BA, Aer Lingus.

Together they offer a selection of 600 destinations... a truly outstanding offer. The unspoiled expanses of Northern Canada, the fantastic landscapes of the American West, the white planes of Africa, the immense wilderness of Australia. Greater Flexibility

Because even the best-laid plans do change, you have plenty of flexibility when it comes to booking or rearranging your oneworld Explorer itinerary:
  1. You can book a oneworld Explorer fare right up until one hour before you leave, depending on availibility.
  2. Your journey can range from 10 days to a whole year.
  3. You can cancel your oneworld Explorer ticket - without penalty - right up until the time of departure. Once your trip has begun, refunds will be according to the sectors you have already travelled.
  4. Changes to your booking are free. Changes to your itinerary (within the fare rules), will incur a charge of 75 US dollars per new ticket issued.

The airfare is per person and valid for departure dates in the specified season. Conditions apply and Airfares may be changed by the airline without notice. For inquiries on availability, please use the Quotation Request Form (please note these airfares have to booked in combination with a landarrangement [eg. hotel and/or rentalcar]).

Conditions:
  • Only valid for travel on flights of airline members of the OneWorld Alliance, eg.
  • With a departure from Amsterdam, Brussels or Luxembourg, your journey must pass through London. Only 1 international departure and arrival from/to country of origin is permitted
  • First long haul sector must be pre-booked, others may be open-dated
  • Travel must be to/from or via adjacent continents, eg. travel on one flight-number from London to Sydney must be considered as traveling between following continents: Europe, Asia and Southwest Pacific
  • Only 1 intercontinental departure and 1 intercontinental arrival may be made from/in each continent visited
  • At a continental level the journey must be in a continuous direction (eastbound or westbound) without backtracking
  • Only one nonstop/direct transcontinental flight is permitted between USA and Canada
  • Only 1 trans-Atlantic and 1 trans-Pacific flight is permitted (but you may make stopovers during that flight, eg in Fiji, Tahiti, Easter Island or Hawaii)
  • Open Jaws (surface sectors) are allowed
  • Domestic flights are allowed
  • The number of flight sectors are limited per continent, but can be extended through the pre-purchase of extra segments (see table)
    • Europe & Middle East: maximum 4 sectors of which maximum 2 to/from Middle East
    • Africa: maximum 4 sectors
    • Asia: maximum 5 sectors
    • Southwest Pacific: maximum of 4 sectors
    • North America: maximum of 6 sectors
    • South America: maximum of 4 sectors
  • You can make 3 stopovers in each continent (excl. Europe). In Europe you may make 1 stopover in each direction at an international Gateway (eg. LHR)
  • Unlimited transfers can be made between flights of QF / BA / AA / CP / CX / IJ / DI
  • Upgrading of individual sectors not permitted (exept to Concorde); Business class passengers will travel in First Class within North America; If business or first class is not available on a requested sector, passenger will travel in a lower class (eg. economy) without compensation
  • Business and First Class passengers can travel on BA Concorde service at a surcharge (see table)
  • Date changes are F.O.C.; Routing changes 1x F.O.C., after that reticketing cost 150 euro per ticket, no refunds after departure
  • Minimum stay enroute: 10 days
  • Maximum stay enroute: 1 year
  • Infant discount 90% for baby's aged 0 - 1 years (no discount on Concorde surcharge)
  • Child discount 33% for children aged 2 -11 years (no discount on Concorde surcharge)
  • No other youth or senior discounts apply
  • Excluding security surcharges and taxes
  • Airfare only valid in combination with pre-booked landarrangement
