Qantas is Australia's leading airline and is the tenth largest airline in the world. The Qantas Group operates over 4,200 flights a week carrying more than 17 million passengers a year to 96 destinations in Australia and around the world.

Before You Travel

Feel At Home In The Air
We'll do everything we can to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling relaxed and comfortable. Before we take off, we'll begin by offering you a refreshing orange juice.

* On selected flights our new ergonomically designed slimline seats have been installed to give you greater comfort. The seats feature in-built lumbar support and manually adjustable 'wings' in the headrest for extra head and neck support.

A personal amenity kit will help you stay comfortable throughout your journey on overnight flights. And our fully-appointed washrooms have all the necessities, including fold-down baby change tables on most aircraft.

Complimentary children's and baby packs will help keep younger travellers entertained for hours, while large blankets and soft pillows are available for all customers.

*Note: The enhancements outlined above are part of a two year refit of the Qantas International Fleet commencing in June 1998. Until the programme is complete, not all aircraft will provide the product features detailed. Also, on some international sectors, Qantas may operate domestic aircraft which do not provide the product features detailed above.

Bring An Appetite
At Qantas we are proud of the food that we provide to our customers. From garden-fresh vegetables to aromatic spices, only the best ingredients are used to create a wide variety of healthy, delicious meals.

A sample of our dinner menu is - a Tomato and Tabouli salad starter followed by a choice of Chicken Chasseur and potato wedges or Beef with black bean sauce and jasmine rice. Of course there is always room for our Orange Crunch Cake and Cheese and Crackers.

A refreshment service is also available on longer flights which consists for example of Fruit Juice, Spinach Ravioli filled with ricotta and Wattleseed cookies.

We'll also offer you a well-rounded selection of complimentary drinks, including coffee or tea, beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks.

On Air Entertainment
Our inflight entertainment lets you enjoy the latest movies, top rating television shows, and news from Australia and around the world. On shorter flights, you'll be able to enjoy world television plus news from Australia and around the world.

You can also choose from ten audio channels and unwind with your favourite classics, jazz, contemporary hits, comedy and more.

On Your Arrival

As a final service, our cabin crew members will be happy to assist you with information on transfers, getting around the airport or any other request you may have.
